Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Technology & Management Indore organized its national summit 2015 on 7th April deliberated upon the core theme of “Make In India – through Innovation, Integration And Creation”. The summit was attended by many reputed dignitaries, academic fraternity, CEOs, Corporate Professionals, Entrepreneurs, & Plant heads of reputed manufacturing & assembly line units and over 200 students .The summit had three technical sessions which were addressed by eminent speakers. These sessions highlighted the following issues –

1. Innovation in manufacturing processes,

2.Creating world class products through emerging technology,

3. Integrating & Financing of the ventures.

The summit was convened  by Dr. G.L. Sharma, Advisor Corporate Interface, LBSIM Delhi  & Dr. Praveen Saxena , Professor & Dean Academics LBSITM , as Joint Convener and Prof . Dinesh Wadhwa, as Project- In- charge LBSITM Indore Campus. The summit commenced with a small A-V on life of Late Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The Chief Guest of the Summit, Mr. Rajinder Singh Sachdeva, Executive Vice President-Technology, Volvo Eicher Commercial, Indore, in his inaugural address, called for global outlook of manufacturing, ease of business and innovation to achieve the goal of MAKE IN INDIA. In his Keynote Address, the Guest of Honour, Mr. Satendra Tiwari, Head of Operations, Case New Holland Construction Equipment, Indore emphasized on encashing upon huge population in terms of human resources and entrepreneurship skills. Shri Anil Shastri, former Union Minister and Chairman Board of Governors of LBSIM, Delhi and LBSITM, Indore, in his Presidential Address, spoke about the overall transition from a developing economy to a developed economy through value based management education. He narrated several personal life experiences to enrich the audience to relate theory to the practical field.

Other prominent speakers of the day were Dr R.K. Vyas, Dr. Arya Kumar, Dr. Alok Pandey, Dr Prashant Gupta, Dr. Sanjiv Tokekar, Dr. Praveen Gupta, Dr. Rekha Kashyap, Shri Ujjesh Sinha of SBI foundation & Mr. Vijay Tuli of Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. Esteemed media personalities Shri Salil Tondon, Shri Saurabh Bhatnagar and Shri P.V.Valecha also showed up on the event.
